 st famous war correspondent of World War II. He lived with and experienced
  combat alongside soldiers in Europe and the Pacific, writing moving stori
 es of the individuals who fought the war. Pyle was killed by sniper fire n
 ear Okinawa, Japan on April 18, 1945. To celebrate the 75th Anniversary of
  D-Day on June 6, the library welcomes back World War II historian Ron May
  for a multi-media presentation about the life and service of Ernie Pyle. 
 A Westfield resident, Ron specializes in preserving the stories of World W
 ar II veterans. Free admission.
