Program Description

Event Details

Join Abraham Lincoln as he comes to visit TCPL and recounts an astonishing journey from log cabin to White House. Learn about his boyhood in Indiana, where frontier life was precarious, disease a constant companion, and death a hovering presence. Here he lost his mother and sister, taught himself to read, and learned the value of hard work. Then he's on to Illinois for prairie lawyer years, life with Mary and sons, political aspirations, Civil War tragedy and triumph, freedom for slaves, and brilliant speeches. Celebrate Flag Day with hilarity, heartbreak and humanity from America's greatest leader! Performed by Danny Russell. There is no fee or registration required. All ages welcome!
